Within the Emperor's Garden - The Ten Thousand Springs Pavilion
Exhibition begins October 16th. View the Installation: October 12th & 13th, 12-5pm. Gallery Hours: Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm. Based on the original Wan Chun Ting pavilion that majestically stands on the east side of the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City in China, this highly detailed 1:5 scale replica is made of red sandalwood, prized in Imperial China, and constructed using mortise-and-tenon joinery. The exhibition was organized by the Smithsonian’s Museum Conservation Institute, with assistance of the China Red Sandalwood Museum and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Starts at 12:00 PM.

Mytholojazz - David Gonzalez
School Performance: For Students (Grades 6 – 12): Master storyteller David Gonzalez brings to life an Orpheus who scats, swings, and serenades his way through a gauntlet of ordeals in search of his beloved Eurydice. Loss, struggle, and redemption -- a captivating adaptation of a classic Greek myth. Plus, a contemporary retelling of The Three Whiskers of the Lion, a Korean folktale. Accompanied by jazz piano virtuoso Daniel Kelly. Starts at 10am and 11:30am.
