Flushing Town Hall Grants
GO QUEENS GRANT:
$20,000 Two-Year General Operating Support grant for Queens-based performing arts organizations
With funds from the Howard Gilman Foundation, Flushing Town Hall will award forty-six $20,000 grants over two years ($10,000 per year) to Queens-based performing arts organizations with annual operating budgets under $250,000. These unrestricted funds can be used for General Operating Support (GOS) to help the granted organization grow.
ARTS GRANTS FOR QUEENS:
Artists in Queens Grant: $5,000 per artist
Arts Grants for Queens: $1,000 - $7,500 per project
As part of the Statewide Community Regrants program funded by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), the Arts Grants for Queens program funds artists and arts organizations based in Queens to produce arts and culture projects to be presented in the borough in order to enrich and enliven the community.
Information Sessions
Join an online or in person info session to learn about the GO Queens Grant and Arts Grants for Queens programs. FTH staff will review guidelines, grant cycle schedules, and best application practices. RSVPs are required.
Please note: First-time applicants are required to attend an information session or watch an information session recording before applying. Any one member of an organization or artist group may attend/watch an info session on behalf of their group. Artists and organizations who have applied in the last three years are not required to attend, although we suggest joining us to learn more about the program and to have your questions answered. Office Hours, Drop-In Working Sessions, and One-on-One Applicant Review Days
As the deadline approaches, we will be offering a variety of opportunities to strengthen your application:
Office Hours: We'll be offering Office Hours via Zoom on Fridays from 12-2PM starting October 23rd. Pop in to get any questions answered about either application. Please note that Office Hours are not meant for receiving personal application feedback, but rather for getting quick application questions answered. If you'd like an in-depth feedback session going over your application, please sign up for a One-on-One Application Review Day. We also encourage applicants to attend/watch an Information Session before attending Office Hours, as a lot of general questions can be answered through the presentation.

Drop-In Working Session: Flushing Town Hall will be hosting an in-person drop-in working session where applicants can dedicate time to work on their application, bounce ideas off of other applicants, and ask a Flushing Town Hall team member questions for extra support.

One-on-One Applicant Review Days: 25-minute slots throughout the day to provide feedback and answer any specific questions you may have about your application draft. A draft of your application must be completed prior to your review appointment in order for us to provide the most helpful feedback. All 25-minute slots will be available on a first come, first serve basis one week before the intended meeting date and will be held virtually over Zoom.

Panelist Nominations
All grant applications are reviewed and scored by a peer panel comprised of artists, cultural workers, arts administrators, community organizers, and community leaders. FTH is committed to having a panel that reflects the cultural and creative diversity of Queens of our prospective applicant pool. The jury of panelists will be familiar with communities and neighborhoods in Queens and/or represent a range of artistic disciplines. Panelists are chosen through a nomination process. Prospective panelists can be self-nominated or nominated by someone else.
