Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Plan

Since our founding in 1979 as "Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts," Flushing Town Hall has had a long-standing commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at all levels of the organization, including Artists, Audiences, Employees, and Board Members.  Our Mission to present "Global Arts for a Global Community," and our location in the most diverse county in the United States, grounds this commitment in all of our programs and activities.

There is always a need to expand and strengthen that commitment.  Between 2018 and 2019, in collaboration with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and fellow cultural organizations in New York City, Flushing Town Hall developed and adopted a formal DEI plan.
