LIVE VIRTUAL ASSEMBLIES FOR SCHOOLS & FAMILIES
Flushing Town Hall (FTH)’s arts education programs captivate imaginations, broaden students’ arts and cultural experiences and support their social and emotional learning. While we cope with the pandemic and related health and safety protocols, FTH Education continues to offer low-cost virtual interactive workshops for young minds whether you are in Queens, NY or across the United States.
Virtual assemblies are 45 minutes of live and pre-recorded performances and demonstrations, followed by an interactive Q & A with students. Assemblies are presented by our Teaching Artists, who have deep connections to the arts and cultural practices they teach and perform. Students will be introduced to forms such as Indian Kathak Dance, Traditional Chinese Dance and Music, Korean Dance, Colombian Music, Mexican Dance, Local Native American Storytelling, West African Drumming, and more.
Our teaching artists can work with one classroom, the whole school, or family groups via Zoom. Assembly fees vary depending on the program and audience group size. Check out our full list of offerings below and you can request the assembly online. For any question, please contact the Education Department at education@flushingtownhall.org.
