Artist Statement

Two weavings, woven on a 4 harness loom, are each made of yarns of various weights and textures using a variety of rug knots and tapestry techniques to create tactile, sensual textiles. These sculptural weavings are part of a series of intensely colored pieces that are named for goddesses that are representative of their color.
