Life of the Invisible - a Public Art in Flushing

From September 26, 2023, to February 28, 2024, Queens residents can enjoy a new public art project at the Margaret I Carman Green-Weeping Beech Park, which houses the Queens Historical Society and is on the landmark Green Trial. The public art features large banners based on Honglei Li's original painting series, "Life of the Invisible," reflecting Asian immigrant life and cultural heritage. Through mobile phone augmented reality applications, the artwork integrates banners, animations, and traditional Chinese music. Visitors at the park can scan QR codes on the banners and watch them come to life. Come to enjoy the free public art inspired by the Flushing community!
