Nature Journaling focuses on the appreciation of nature. Anyone with a love of nature can participate; no experience is necessary. All you need is paper, a pencil and your curiosity.

Flowing alongside the southern edge of Hunter's Point Park is Newtown Creek. Delve into its serene origins during the era of Lenape Native Americans, the environmental impact of western Europeans, and its bright future. You’ll discover actionable steps to safeguard its promising future.  The beautiful salt marsh restoration will inspire you as artist Monica Schroeder introduces you to Nature Journaling, focusing on landscapes no matter your artistic skill level. All you need is a love of nature and your curiosity.

All materials supplied. Or bring your own:
  • Art paper
  • Pencils
  • Watercolor travel kit

The class is recommended for teens and adults.
