Mother Earth is Dying is an educational group exhibition about the state of the environment and the ever-looming threat that haunts us today and future generations.
The works in this exhibition show the societal lack of concern about how air, water and land pollution is negatively affecting the environment. Each artist focused on pollutants that will consume the environment if not addressed. The artworks convey the raw emotion and urgency of the need to increase awareness around saving the environment.
Environmental injustices plague communities throughout the United States with polluted land, air and water due to their close proximity to toxic waste sites, incinerators, landfills, oil refineries, industrial facilities, and chemical plants testify to the unbearable weight of loss and the desperate need for change. These communities are typically lower-income and communities of color, and are disproportionately impacted by these issues and devastating effects.
The exhibition emphasizes the dire need for all people and governments to be conscious of these harrowing times and to develop, implement, and strengthen environmental policies, regulations, and laws to protect our people and communities.
