Adrian Bermeo (b. 1989) is a New York City-born Puerto Rican-Ecuadorian visual artist and curator from Jackson Heights, Queens. His paintings, detectable by gestural mark-making and abstract figuration, are informed by his formative influences in graffiti; reflecting ancestral connections, primal relationships, and nuances of human nature.
He has studied at Liga de Arte in San Juan, Puerto Rico; the School of Visual Arts in New York City; and Hunter College. His art has been exhibited across NYC and is part of private collections internationally. As a visual artist and organizer, Bermeo has collaborated with numerous nonprofits, businesses, and cultural institutions, including Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning; Local Project Art Space; The Blue Bus Project; and NYC Parks Department. His curatorial projects have been featured in Hyperallergic, and he has contributed as a fellow teaching artist for Family Fellowship Programs at MoMA.
