Albert "Tootie" Heath performed with some of the most prolific musicians in Jazz: Herbie Hancock, Benny Golson, Dexter Gordon, J.J. Johnson, Dexter Gordon, Art Farmer, Wes Montgomery, and his tenure as the drummer with "The Heath Brothers”.

The Queens Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Antonio Hart performs a concert to remember and honor the different worlds of music that Tootie Heath performed and loved to hear.

Tootie Heath has performed at Flushing Town Hall several times with The Heath Brothers, and this concert is performed with him in mind and with love. This concert is a beautiful tribute to the life, music, and memory of a man who championed Jazz and dedicated his life to the music.
