Hidden Worlds of Rockaway: Kaleidoscope Making Workshop
Join us for an engaging, hands-on workshop where participants of all ages can learn to build kaleidoscopes using treasures and trash collected from the Rockaways. Limited to 14 participants, this unique event will take place at Flushing Town Hall Gallery, bringing the beauty and ecology of the Rockaways right into the heart of our borough.
During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to explore and arrange various beach finds such as plants, shells, bones, and mysterious washed up debris to create your own kaleidoscope. Through this creative process, we'll delve into the importance of coastal resiliency, stewardship, and climate change, encouraging participants to care for our endangered coastal landscapes.
Come do a deep dive, connecting with nature, getting creative, and learn to make a meaningful impact. Sign up now and bring a piece of the Rockaways into your world!
